On April 28th, 2015 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EDT, The White House Conference on Aging and Dementia will be held at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C. Nora Super is the Executive Director of the White House Conference on Aging. Due to both limited seating and recent security concerns, entrance to the building will be barred to those members of the public who are not already on the submitted list of attendees. The webcast may, however, be watched live on http://www.hhs.gov/live

The Advisory Council will build on the goals of the White House Conference on Aging (WHCOA) through a half day session with dementia focused panels on each WHCOA topic area:  healthy aging, long-term services and supports, retirement security and elder justice. After this session, the Advisory Council will hold a brief discussion re the 2015 Update to the National Plan to Address Alzheimer’s, including subcommittee updates, and a discussion of international events on dementia.
